Treatment

The alternative to a hair transplant

Hair transplants involve invasive surgery, minimal scarring and longer recovery times. They are used as a last resort where treatments like PRP are unsuitable.

How does PRP treatment work

PRP is a treatment that uses the natural rejuvenation properties from your blood, and injects them back into thinning or dormant hair. This strengthens existing hairs, giving a fuller, thicker look.

Because the process uses all your own blood, there is no risk of disease transmission, and you avoid reactions produced by your body's immune system.

PRP therapy separation from centrifuge

The procedure

The procedure starts with a qualified phlebotomist taking up a small amount of your blood. This is then processed in a state of the art centrifuge, to separate plasma and growth hormones. This is your platelet-rich plasma, or PRP, which is then injected around thinning hair to encourage the strengthening of follicles and hair growth.

PRP can be used in conjunction with hair transplant surgery

PRP can be used to encourage hair growth in preparation for hair transplant surgery, and can be used to strengthen transplanted areas post-surgery.
